I recently went to Charleston, SC and fell in LOVE with it's charm and history. This being my first time, I spent an afternoon touring around East Bay St, the Wharf, Rainbow Row and more.

I walked down cobblestone streets, explored gorgeous southern gardens and eventually wandered into this dessert bar & cafe. This, to me, was a slight taste of New York in the deep South, and made me feel right at home the second I walked by and looked inside.

The owner walked right up to me and asked "Where are you from?"
"New York", I said. The world being such a small place - she mentioned that she was from NY as well - Schenectady to be exact. We chatted about Upstate and she told me to stay and take as many pictures as I would like. Thanks for the hospitality!

It is just a stone's throw from the US Custom house...be sure to stop and order a Margarita Icetini. Delicious.

If you have time, head on over the bridge to the Isle of Palms beach to catch some sun.

The late afternoon was spent shooting seniors with Senior Style Guide and SSG Destinations with Brooke Daniels Photography and Vickie Black #SSGDestinations #sailawaywithbdp #sssgsailaway

Charleston, I will be back.
